2010 Year-In-Review: Major Announcements
Georgia has seen many new and expanding companies coming to the state over the past year, and Georgia Power project managers have helped more than 80 of those companies find the right place.

4th Quarter Announcements
Over the past three months several companies have announced plans to open new facilities or expand existing operations. Here are some of the 4th quarter announcements

Building Spotlight: 55 Allen Plaza

With more than 112,000 square feet of available Class A office space, the 348,658 SF, 14-story 55 Allen Plaza building is part of the new Allen Plaza complex located on Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard in downtown Atlanta. It includes 16,000 SF of retail and is adjacent to the new 237-room W Hotel.

Industrial Park Spotlight:
Highland 75, Bartow County

Bartow County’s Highland 75 is a 707-acre industrial/corporate park development located between Atlanta and Chattanooga, just one mile east of Interstate 75. The park is perfect for manufacturing, distribution, call centers, R&D and technology.

Gulfstream Aerospace Expands in Savannah
Gulfstream Aerospace is expanding operations in Savannah, adding more than 1,000 jobs and investing at least $500 million. It is the company’s second major expansion in the last five years.

$500 Million for Transportation
The Atlanta region will benefit from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), or federal stimulus, receiving $498 million in funding for transportation projects. The projects range from the addition of sidewalks and bike lanes, to bridge replacements and transit maintenance.
